Did you spot me on Sophie Robinson's fabulous new show 'Dream Home Makeovers' this week? I was so fortunate to be invited along with my awesome friend Bland Design to get our gold on in a London home last year. Read on to see our gold leaf ceiling, an Art Deco wall mural and some personalised wall art to bring it all together...
When Daniel Bland (Bland Design) called me and asked if i wanted to come along to some filming for a new interior show i was so excited. We turned up to the home of Anna and Peter in late 2021, where we were tasked with bringing some life into their bar room. That same day we got cracking on the statement gold leaf ceiling (something Bland Design is very well known for!)...
Next up was tying in the love of alpacas somehow into the bar area, after a quick brainstorm we came up with 'You bring the tonic, alpaca the gin', so having luckily brought my signwriting kit with me i got straight to work creating the wording directly onto the wall with gold leaf and a blue drop shadow. I have created a range of posters, foiled posters and some limited edition gold leaf signs with the alpaca quote, so if you're after some fun new home decor head over to my shop
Then we brought Daniels creative vision to life with his Art Deco wall mural, which was a real centrepiece to the room, it was all hand painted and gilded with gold leaf to give it that extra special shine.
So a massive thank you to the amazing Sophie Robinson, who's vision, style and talent is unlike anything i have ever seen, we are so lucky to have been able to work with Sophie and her fantastic creative team on this project and we had a blast being a part of the show.
